Yup, I’m back from my camp trip.
First off, the camp site is freaking far. Check out the map.
Suppose to report at 0830 hours, my kiasu parents, dropped me off at HTA by 0730 hours. The ushers just started to put up the signs. Good thing I know the place, and headed to the Cafeteria to chill.
Chilled for an hour just to watch Channel NewsAsia, probably my last chance to watch if for a very long time.
Once we got in, stripped down to undies. Let my fellow seniors stare at my cute body. They’re there to check if your body carries any tattoo. No police officers should carry any tattoo, at least for those that are visible.
Usual stuff of filling up declaration forms, surrendering of the formerly unappreciated pink NRIC, handling over copies of your certificates. Rehearsing the oath ceremony felt pretty silly, but got to make things look good you know?
If only my parents were there to lunch with me. Good thing, Darran was there to keep me company. We were assigned to the same squad, the equivalent of platoon in Army terms. By the way, western food sucks.
Zixin and I turned out to be mini celebs after we were recognised by TRACOM people. Pretty embarrassing, jsut wanna stay low profile.
Seriously, I need a device that can translates those malay commands into english for me. We marched like idiots, executed the drills like noob cakes. Silliest thing is the hopping when we’re in our PT(Physical Training) kit, felt like those Chinese zombies.
Lots of admin stuff to do, so basically there’s a lot of waiting. I don’t think I can take pictures of my barrack though I have a camera.
Shan’t talk much stuff, since the OSA, prevent such things from happening.
Going back in on Monday evening. Not sure how would the real training be, that will kind of decide the PES status in the future. LOL!
Hope my OC or FI doesn’t see these =P
