I was finally able to get my WiFi up and running on my router. And finally, I can surf net with my (or rather, my sister’s) PSP.
She wanted to be able to watch YouTube. The browser in PSP doesn’t support the latest Flash version, so you can’t view the videos.
Now, PSPTube allows you to watch streaming videos, not only on YouTube, but on other streaming video sites too. To name a few, Daily Motion, YouKu and Stage6.
It’s a homebrew application, means it isn’t an official application by Sony. In fact, it is done by a female developer in Japan. Cool.
Installation is simple, go to the dl.qj.net and search for PSPTube. I believe they have the latest version in english. The developer’s website is written in Japanese, unless you can read them, you should tick to dl.qj.net.
Take note, the version are name according to date, PSPTube YYYYMMDD.
It is recommended that you’re also running a homebrew firmware. I’m think running m371. It’s basically drag and drop to your PSP/Game(firmware version) folder, boot up your PSP and run it like a game.
You’ll be asked to choose a WiFi connection, and voila, you’re online. Just search for your favourite videos online and watch them!
